FoodTech Revolution

The global animal agriculture sector is a $1.4 trillion sector that is responsible for feeding our world but also the largest contributor to climate change. Technology is disrupting the global food system at an incredible speed and BrincArtesian has invested millions of dollars in 40+ startups to fund this disruption.

Our Investment Principles

Early-Stage

We are often the first money in, investing through our three FoodTech accelerator programs. Learn more about our programs here.

Hands-On

We are value-creating investors, supporting our companies with product formulation, business development and capital introductions.

Asia-Rooted

Headquartered in Hong Kong
with investment professionals and accelerator programs across China, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

Our Investment Themes

We believe that over the next decade, technology will transform our food system. Cellular agriculture will hit price-parity with animal agriculture, precision fermentation will have replaced many animal products at an attractive scale, and plant-based meat will have equivalent health and taste profiles to provide a meat-like experience to the masses.

Our Approach

What We Look For

We invest in differentiated and technologically defensible cultivated meat, precision fermentation, and plant-based meat companies along with B2B upstream businesses that are enabling the alternative protein industry. We prefer companies focusing on center-of-plate food items (meat, dairy, seafood, infant formula, etc.) and solving fundamental problems with our food system.

How We Invest

We focus on Seed to Series B stage companies making investments of up to $1,000,000. We have a particular emphasis on Asia including Mainland China, Southeast Asia, and India but have also invested in global companies operating in the US, Europe and Latin America. We deploy through our FoodTech accelerator programs and also make direct investments.
